Opportunity:

RN - Interventional Radiology

Job Details:

• Must be experienced in moderate sedation, monitoring, assessment, and foley placement
• Handle both basic to complex IR and Neuroendovascular procedures including strokes, embolization, carotid stenting, line placements, and fistulagrams
• Work independently in fast-paced environment with ability to shift gears quickly during emergencies
• General IR shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Neuro IR shift: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Manager open to adjusting shift times for flexible scheduling arrangements
• Department staffed 24/7 serving adult patients only (no pediatrics)
• See approximately 40-50 patients daily on average
• On-call responsibilities: weekday call (Monday-Thursday) 1 shift per week from end of shift until 7:00 AM
• Weekend call (Friday-Sunday) once every 5th or 6th weekend from end of Friday shift until Monday 7:00 AM
• 30-minute response time for call situations
• 1-2 week orientation with preceptor and competency check-offs
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
• Work with Siemens and GE equipment (experience preferred)
• Use Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Change Healthcare PACS
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Free parking in structure with badge access
• Will accept travelers with 1+ years experience and first-time travelers with IR experience
• No floating required

Facility:

This comprehensive medical center operates as a Level III Trauma Center and Level III NICU with Magnet designation and Comprehensive Stroke Center status. The facility features 933 beds and maintains a 5-room interventional radiology department that operates around the clock. The IR department provides extensive support including two coordinators, lead technicians, respiratory therapy coverage, hospitalist services, and CNA/transporter assistance available 24/7. The facility utilizes advanced medical technology and equipment to deliver high-quality interventional radiology and neuroendovascular services.
