Opportunity:

RN - Admission and Transfer RN

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with variable start times at 7am, 11am, 1pm, and 7pm
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week for 13 weeks
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Can be low censused and put on call with 2-hour minimum call back pay
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Required certifications: WI RN License, AHA or ARC BLS
• 3-5 years ICU or ER experience required (5 years preferred)
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Transfer Call Center experience highly preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Associate Degree or Certificate required
• Scrub colors: any color or business casual attire
• Facilitate consults and transfers for patient placement across 16 hospitals
• Coordinate patient admissions from healthcare facilities and physician offices
• Follow protocols and demonstrate understanding of EMTALA requirements
• Communicate estimated arrival times and coordinate patient transfers including transportation and specialist referrals
• Document and track all patient transfers accurately
• Use critical thinking skills to provide optimal patient placement
• Remotely engage with facility staff to monitor transfer needs
• Utilize chain of command to advocate for priority admissions or transfers
• Plan and evaluate patient needs based on assessment reports
