Opportunity:

RAD Tech - Interventional Rad Tech

Job Details:

• Work in a 5-room interventional suite with 2 Cath Labs, 1 EP Room, 1 Hybrid Room, and 1 IR Room
• Handle adults only, both inpatient and outpatient procedures
• Perform intra-procedural work only with no pre/post experience needed
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Required certifications: IEMA (IL license), ARRT, BLS, ACLS
• Must have 2 years of Cath Lab experience or 2 years IR experience
• Cross-training to both modalities preferred
• Skills required: Scrub and pan simultaneously, Impella, balloon pump, hemodynamic monitoring
• Handle IR procedures including peripheral diagnostic and intervention, thrombolysis, chest tubes, kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, paracentesis/thoracentesis, CT/RFA ablations, g-tube placement and exchanges, PICC placement, tunneled catheter placements, nephrostomy tubes, dialysis grafts, and drain placements
• 10-11 call shifts per month with 30-minute response time
• 2 weekends per month call schedule (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Call shifts: 4:00 PM to 7:00 AM weekdays; weekend call Friday 4:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM
• Work as part of three-person call team: 1 nurse, 1 tech, 1 nurse or tech
• 1-2 holidays of call per contract
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Procedural scrubs provided
• Use EPIC charting system, Merge hemodynamic, GE Cardio (EP), and Siemens equipment
• May float to IR/CL if skillset allows

The organization maintains high standards for patient care with 24/7 support including hospitalists and cardiologists available during the day with on-call coverage at night.
