Opportunity:
RN - OR
Job Details:
• Work in operating room with ability to scrub and circulate
• Handle outpatient, inpatient, and trauma cases including GSW, stabbings, transplants, general surgery, GYN, urology, robotics, vascular, ortho, neuro, and open heart procedures
• 20% pediatric cases including open hearts, appendectomies, and cholecystectomies
• Hybrid room experience with 5-10 cases per day including TAVR, AAA, endarterectomies, angiograms, and fistula revisions
• Multiple shift options available: 6:45 AM-3:15 PM, 2:45 PM-7:15 PM, 10:45 PM-7:15 AM
• Schedule options include 3x12 hour shifts, 2x8 hour + 2x12 hour shifts, or 5x8 hour shifts
• Weekend rotation every 4th weekend (Saturday-Sunday)
• Holiday coverage required with on-call responsibilities dependent on service line
• 30-minute response time required for on-call with sleeping room available
• 2-3 years of acute care experience required
• Critical care and Level 1-2 trauma experience preferred
• EPIC experience required
• BLS certification required
• Scrub colors provided
• Free parking available
• 6-week schedule provided 2-4 weeks in advance
• No self-scheduling - rotation based assignment system
Facility:
This healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center featuring 794 beds and operates as a Level I Trauma Center with Magnet designation. The facility includes a 28-bed operating room unit with 2 hybrid rooms for cardiovascular and vascular procedures. The organization maintains comprehensive stroke center capabilities and performs approximately 60-75 cases per day. The OR operates 24/7, 365 days a year with full staffing Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-11:00 PM and weekend coverage 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, with skeleton crews for trauma and urgent cases during off-hours.
