Opportunity:

Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend rotation
• No on-call responsibilities
• 1:1 patient ratios working with neonates to geriatric respiratory patients
• One day orientation on the unit
• Must wear charcoal gray scrubs
• Free parking provided
• 2 years experience required with full lifespan of patients (pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics)
• Active Illinois license required
• Required certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, and either RRT or CRT
• EPIC experience mandatory
• Technical skills required: trachs, nitrous oxide procedures, proning techniques, ECMO, critical care experience, ventilator associated pneumonia prevention, spontaneous breathing trials, ABG draws
• Equipment experience needed: PB840 and 980 ventilators, Servo-U and Hamilton ventilators, V60s, ResMed and RemStar CPAP/BiPAP, Optiflow, Hamilton transport vents
• Potential floating to hospitals within the PSA based on contract
• Holiday expectations based on facility needs
• Supervisor support available on unit

This healthcare facility is a 273-bed Level 1 Trauma Center with Magnet designation, featuring a Level II NICU and serving as a Primary Stroke Center. As a teaching hospital, it provides comprehensive respiratory therapy services across the full spectrum of patient care from neonatal to geriatric populations. The facility maintains high standards for patient care and offers extensive resources for respiratory therapy professionals.
