Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Block scheduling available with ability to work 6 or 8 shifts together
• Open to 48-hour guarantee
• Weekend requirements apply
• Holiday requirements apply
• No call or standby requirements
• No floating requirements
• Must have experience in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit
• Must possess skills in labor, postpartum, and nursery care
• Required to titrate Pitocin drips
• Care for patients in Level 1 Nursery (35 weeks gestation or greater)
• Work with LDRP unit featuring 8 beds and 2 triage beds
• Handle approximately 25 births per month
• Follow AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
• Charge nurse responsibilities may include patient assignment
• No nurse aids or surgical techs available on unit
• Use OBIX Electronic Fetal Monitoring system
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• May use personal scrubs or facility-supplied grey OR scrubs
• 2-day unit-specific orientation required
• Use computerized charting system

Facility:

This medical center operates a comprehensive maternity services department featuring a Level 1 Nursery that provides care for newborns 35 weeks gestation and older. The facility maintains LDRP rooms that allow families to labor, deliver, recover, and care for their newborn in the same comfortable setting. The medical center follows established AWHONN guidelines for safe nurse-to-patient ratios and utilizes modern electronic fetal monitoring technology to ensure optimal patient outcomes during the birthing process.
