Opportunity:

RN - 301351130 - ICU RN - 2E SICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday requirement
• Patient ratios: 1:2 standard, 1:1 for higher acuity patients, 1:3 for med-surg/floor status patients
• Must have experience with high acuity ICU patients and cardiovascular surgery populations
• Required to titrate multiple drips including epinephrine, norepinephrine, propofol, precedex, vasopressin, and others
• Care for post-operative day 1 heart surgery patients
• Monitor and document patient telemetry strips using GE monitors
• Float to MICU when not needed in SICU or serve as patient observer within hospital
• One day system onboarding plus two orientation shifts on unit required
• Must complete skills checklist during orientation
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Preferred certification: TNCC
• Clean and professional dress code, no specific scrub color required
• Must clock in and out at facility
• Use Cerner charting system
• 16-bed unit plus 2 additional procedural beds
• Care for cardiovascular surgery, trauma, NSTEMI/STEMI, vascular, neurosurgery, and other surgical patients

Facility:

This medical center serves as a tertiary care facility providing comprehensive intensive care services including a specialized surgical ICU. The facility operates as a Level 2 trauma center with 24/7 intensivist coverage and respiratory therapy support. The unit specializes in high-acuity cardiovascular surgery patients, trauma cases, and complex medical conditions requiring intensive monitoring and advanced life support equipment including CRRT, IABP, and ventilator management.
