Opportunity:

RN - 301351130 - ICU RN - 2E SICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday requirement
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Preferred certification: TNCC
• ICU experience with high acuity patients required
• Must have experience with cardiovascular surgery patients and trauma care
• Nurse to patient ratios: 1:2 standard, 1:1 for higher acuity patients, 1:3 for med-surg/floor status patients
• Required to titrate drips including epi, norepi, propofol, precedex, vasopressin, dobutamine, heparin, insulin, dopamine, neo, milrinone
• Must be able to read and document patient rhythm strips using GE monitors
• Floating requirements to MICU or patient observer roles when not needed in SICU
• One day system onboarding followed by two orientation shifts on unit
• Must complete skills checklist
• Charting system: Cerner
• Clean and professional dress code required
• Must clock in and out at facility
• 16-bed unit plus 2 additional procedural beds

This medical center serves as a tertiary care facility providing advanced surgical and trauma services. The facility operates as a Level 2 trauma center with 24/7 intensivist coverage and comprehensive respiratory therapy services. The organization specializes in cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, and various surgical specialties requiring intensive care support. The facility maintains advanced equipment including CRRT, IABP, Impella, and ECMO capabilities for complex patient care needs.
