Opportunity:

Surgical Tech - Surical Tech

Job Details:

• Work at multiple sites: Southern Lakes Surgery Center and Lakeland Hospital, with potential work at Burlington Hospital
• Take call at Lakeland Hospital and work primarily out of Lakeland and Southern Lakes
• Work in 3 ORs providing care for inpatient, outpatient, and ER patients
• Handle general, GYN, ENT, urology, orthopedic, podiatry, and vascular procedures
• Pediatric cases with ENT (typically once per week, 5-10% of caseload)
• 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and CST certification
• Must have knowledge of aseptic surgical techniques and various surgical equipment
• On-call responsibilities: every 6th weekend (Friday afternoon through Monday morning) and one night per week
• 30-minute response time for call-backs
• Float to 2 other sites with weekly schedule showing assignments
• Work with EPIC charting system, Pyxis, and Alaris equipment
• 1-3 shift orientation based on comfort level
• Procedural scrubs provided
• Holiday requirement: 1 summer and 1 winter holiday

This healthcare organization operates a 123-bed facility that serves as a Trauma Level III center and Primary Stroke Center. The surgical services department features modern equipment and comprehensive support staff including charge nurses, surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgery schedulers, and OR aids. The facility maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes advanced technology systems to support surgical operations across multiple specialties.
