Opportunity:

Nuclear Medicine Tech - Nuclear Medicine Tech

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday, typically 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Float between clinic and main hospital area within the same building, spending 1 month at a time in each area
• Handle 4-6 patients per technologist per day
• Weekend rotation is call only
• On-call responsibilities include 1 weeknight call shift per week from 4:00 PM to 7:00 AM and 1 weekend call per month from end of shift Friday through Monday 7:00 AM
• 30-minute response time for call-ins
• May be on call for up to 50% of holidays per contract
• Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT-N or NMTCB, and state license
• Perform various scans including cardiac scans, stress rest tests, HIDA scans, renal scans, gastrics, DAT scans, lung scans/perfusions (VQ scan), GI bleeds, and administration of I131
• Experience handling radioactive isotopes required
• Preferred experience with Pluvicto therapies for prostate cancer and Y90 mapping
• Work with EMR system EPIC and PACS Change Healthcare
• Equipment includes Spectrum Dynamics D-Spect chair in clinic and GE Discovery 850 in hospital
• Scrub color requirement: any solid color, professional appearance with no graphics, logos, or designs
• Free parking provided
• Complete facility orientation and department-specific training during first week

Facility:

This healthcare facility is a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center with 101 beds. The nuclear medicine department features 2 suites with one located in the hospital and one in the clinic area. The department provides comprehensive imaging services for both outpatient and inpatient populations, supported by experienced staff including nuclear medicine technologists, imaging assistants, patient service representatives, and schedulers. The facility offers 24/7 support with rapid response teams and has cardiologists and radiologists available for scan interpretation.
