Opportunity:

RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

• Minimum 2+ years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• On-call schedule varies based on contract
• Care for L&D patients 35+ weeks, GYN surgeries, antepartum, and postpartum patients
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for laboring patients and 1:3 for couplets, antepartum, and surgical patients
• Perform NSTs, triage, postpartum and newborn assessments and care, and nursery care
• RN responsible for drawing blood
• Fetal heart monitoring (FHM) at bedside and nurse's station, no telemetry
• Support staff includes Charge RN, Resource RN, RRT, and OB MD with 30-minute callback time
• EMR system: EPIC
• IV Pump: Alaris
• Medication dispensing: Pyxis
• May float to inpatient units to act as a sitter or in a CNA role
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, FHM
• Scrub color: Any color
• Parking available in yellow lines in front of building or by the ED

Facility:

This facility is a Level III Trauma Center with 64 beds, featuring a dedicated Labor and Delivery unit with 8 LDRP and antepartum beds. The unit provides comprehensive women's health and obstetric services, supported by a full care team including Charge RNs, Resource RNs, and rapid response support. The facility utilizes modern technology and equipment to ensure high-quality patient care across a range of obstetric and gynecological services.
