Opportunity:

RN - MedSurg

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with start date of 8/10
• Variable day and night shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly with overtime after 80 hours worked in the second week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to the Emergency Department within competency required
• Can be low censused and placed on call with a minimum call back of 2 hours
• Work on a 25-bed Med Surg unit with patient ratios of 1:4-1:5 during days and 1:6 during nights
• Generally see geriatric patients with CHF, COPD, and diabetes
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience required with ICU and ER experience required
• Strong charting experience required with CareScape patient monitors, Epic EMR, and Pyxis for medication dispersion
• Current Michigan RN license and AHA BLS required
• ACLS preferred but not required
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any colored scrubs permitted

This healthcare facility is a community-based hospital offering a range of medical and surgical services to the surrounding region. The Med Surg unit consists of 25 beds and provides care to a primarily geriatric patient population managing chronic conditions. The facility utilizes modern technology including CareScape patient monitors, Epic EMR, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems to support high-quality patient care.
