Opportunity:

RN - Clinic

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a rotating half day off each week
• No weekend rotation, on-call, or holiday expectations
• Fast-paced cardiology clinic environment seeing patients every 15 minutes
• Average patient census of 24 to 60 patients per day
• Treat adult patients with conditions including CHF, chest pain, pre/post cath lab, post-CABG, post-valve replacements, pulmonary hypertension, peripheral artery disease, EP patients, and some stress tests
• Perform authorization of procedures, entering orders, patient education, in-basket management, calling patients with abnormal labs, and phone triage
• Place Holter/event monitors with education available if no prior experience
• May occasionally administer IV dobutamine for stress tests
• Assist with rooming patients and obtaining EKGs as needed
• EMR: EPIC preferred
• Equipment includes IV Pump (Alaris), Monitors (Zio & Bardy), and EKG machines
• No floating to other units
• Up to two weeks of orientation based on skillset and comfort level
• Minimum 3 years of experience required; clinic, ICU/CVICU, cath lab, or cardiac stepdown experience accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Scrub color: Any solid color, professional; no graphics, logos, or designs

Facility:

This medical office building is located on site with a full-service hospital and houses multiple specialty clinics. The cardiology clinic specifically features 11 rooms and is supported by a multidisciplinary team including medical assistants, LPNs, patient service representatives, a lead nurse, manager/supervisor, five cardiologists, one EP physician, and four NP/PAs. The clinic operates in a high-volume, fast-paced environment providing comprehensive cardiac care to adult patients.
