Opportunity:

MRI Technologist - MRI

Job Details:

• Provide MRI services to inpatient, outpatient, and ED patients with a primarily adult-focused population
• Perform MRI scans on Siemens Sola 1.5T and Siemens Skyra 3T scanners (both required)
• 3T scanner used for prostate, abdominal, pelvis, and MRCP studies
• 1.5T scanner used for extremity, brain, and spine studies
• Less common scans such as breast and cardiac are avoided on weekends unless the technologist is comfortable
• Pediatric patients seen only when able to cooperate and hold still, primarily ED patients
• Typically work alongside 2 techs and 1 imaging patient assistant running two scanners per shift
• Lead tech available Monday through Friday; weekend staff work mostly independently
• Virtual radiologist support available 24/7 via Teams or phone
• On-call rotation shared equally among 8 techs with a mix of weekdays and weekends; 30-minute response time required
• One holiday coverage expected per contract via on-call coverage
• Weekend rotation: once per month for non-weekend roles; every weekend for weekend role
• Orientation includes NEO and 1-2 shifts
• 1-2 years of experience required; outpatient experience accepted with a strong exam mix skill set
• First-time travelers accepted with significant and recent Siemens experience
• Strong Siemens 1.5T and 3T experience required
• Proficiency in basic MR principles and MR safety practices required
• Good screening habits and ability to follow policies for implant workups required
• Peripheral IV starts with IV contrast injection skills required
• Utilize Deep Resolve AI software to help reduce scan times
• Charting via EPIC EMR; PACS system is McKesson/Change Healthcare
• MRI IV pumps use wave guide to run tubing with non-MRI safe pumps kept in the control room
• No floating required
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT-MR or ARMRIT
• No state license required for MRI technologists
• Scrubs: Any color accepted
• Free parking available

Facility:

This facility is a 74-bed Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center offering comprehensive imaging services including MRI. The department is supported by a Department Supervisor, an imaging patient assistant/transporter staffed on weekends, and virtual radiologist support available 24/7. The facility utilizes advanced technology including AI-assisted software and maintains a collaborative team environment with full code and rapid response team support.
