Opportunity:

Pediatric Respiratory Therapist - Pediatric Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every third weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• 3 shifts per week schedule with 6-week block scheduling when possible
• Cover all adult units, ED, and pediatric patients while in the ED
• Inpatient and ED coverage required
• Perform ABGs and CBGs in intensive care units
• Provide EKG department coverage overnight and as needed
• Assist with intubation and may place laryngeal airway (King airway) during code blue situations
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapist experience
• Must have trauma level 2 or 3 experience
• Must have critical care experience
• No required call or standby call; occasional off-shift call needs from 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM on a volunteer basis
• Call response time of 1 hour if volunteering for call
• Any color scrubs permitted; supportive footwear encouraged
• Equipment includes ventilators (Servo U, Servo I, PB840, Hamilton T1), BiPAP/CPAP (V-60, V-30, ResMeds), Vapotherm high flow, INOmax Plus, oscillators, cough assist, and Volara
• Charting system: Cerner
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, PALS, and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC
• State of Wisconsin RT license required
• Will accept first-time travelers and travel duos; scheduling cannot be guaranteed for duos

Facility:

This acute care facility is a level 2 trauma center offering comprehensive inpatient and emergency department services. The facility operates with neonatologists and hospitalists in-house 24/7, and intensivists are present in the ICUs around the clock. The respiratory therapy department is supported by a robust leadership structure including a system director, manager, supervisor, and lead respiratory therapist assigned to each shift, ensuring a well-organized and collaborative work environment.
