Opportunity:
Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapy
Job Details:
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• Will accept RRT or CRT certification
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Typical case load is 10-15 patients for general floor assignments and 6-8 patients for ICU assignments
• Patient population consists mostly of geriatrics and adults, with some pediatric patients in the ED
• Required skills include vent management, CPAP, BiPap, nebulizers, arterial line placement, assisting providers with intubation, vent weaning, extubation, and ABGs
• EMR system: EPIC
• Medication dispensing via Pyxis
• Unit-specific equipment includes AVEA vents, Servo U Vent, LPU 1200 Vents, Parapack vents for MRI, and Hamilton vents for transport
• Float to all units within the hospital as needed
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Holiday assignments as needed
• Block scheduling will not be accommodated
• Cannot work more than 60 hours per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts per fatigue policy
• Overtime may be available depending on facility needs
• Scrub color: Any solid color, professional - no graphics, logos, or designs

Facility:
This facility is a large 933-bed hospital holding Magnet Designation and recognized as a Level III Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. The facility also operates a Level III NICU and provides a wide range of specialty services. The respiratory therapy department maintains strong staffing support, with day shift staffing of 13-15 respiratory therapists, along with RNs on the floor and dedicated management and supervisory leadership.
