Opportunity:

RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 12-hour day/night variable shifts
• 2 weekends out of 4 required, with holiday rotations every other holiday
• Primary placement in OB/Labor and Delivery unit with 2 labor rooms and 6 post-partum beds, Level 1 maternity/Level 1 nursery, and post-op GYN patients
• May float to Med/Surg, ER, or ICU for tasks such as vital signs, answering lights, or completing patient history - no patient assignments and no isolation rooms during float
• May be required to float to other locations in the Southern region as needed
• No on-call or back-up requirements; additional shifts may be available for sick call coverage
• Staffing adheres to AWHONN guidelines; nurses cover labor, post-partum, and newborn nursery care
• Scrub colors: any color; scrubs provided if working in surgery
• Required certifications: BLS, Advanced NRP, WI RN license; AWHONN and PALS preferred (AHA or ARC certifications required)
• Minimum 2 years of OB experience with Labor and Delivery experience required
• 1 prior travel assignment required
• Critical access hospital experience highly preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Labor and Delivery competency required
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off will be accommodated
• Strong work ethic, resilience, adaptability, assertiveness, and team-oriented mindset expected

Facility:

This is a critical access hospital offering a range of inpatient and outpatient services to the surrounding community. The facility operates a Level 1 maternity and Level 1 nursery unit with an average monthly delivery rate of approximately 10 births per month. The organization is committed to maintaining high standards of patient care and follows AWHONN guidelines for staffing and patient ratios.
