Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work rotating shifts with multiple shift time options available: 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM, 2:45 PM - 7:15 PM, and 10:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Shift structures include 3x12-hour shifts, 2x8-hour and 2x12-hour combinations, or 5x8-hour shifts
• Radiology/Hybrid shifts run Monday through Thursday in 8 or 10-hour shifts
• Weekend rotation required every 4th weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
• Holiday coverage required
• On-call responsibilities dependent on shift and service line with a 30-minute response time required; sleeping room available for on-call team members
• No floating to other units
• 6-week schedule provided 2-4 weeks in advance; rotation-based with no self-scheduling
• OR operates 24/7, 365 days a year; Monday through Friday 7:30 AM - 11:00 PM with skeleton crew after 11:00 PM for trauma and urgent cases; Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM with skeleton crew after 5:00 PM
• Care for outpatient, inpatient, and trauma patients including GSW, stabbings, transplants (kidney, hearts), donor cases, general surgery, GYN, urology, robotics, vascular, ortho, neuro, and open hearts/CABGs
• Hybrid room handles 5-10 cases per day including TAVR, AAA, Endarterectomies, angiograms, and fistula revisions (adults only)
• 20% pediatric cases including open hearts, appendectomies, and cholecystectomies
• Participates in Gifts of Hope cases
• CVOR RN must be able to scrub and circulate adult or pediatric open-heart cases
• Critical care experience and Level I trauma experience required for CVOR RN role
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience with Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing system required
• Siemens equipment experience required for Hybrid IR Tech role
• Minimum 2-3 years of acute care experience required
• Required certifications: BLS
• Scrubs provided; free parking available

Facility:

This facility is a 794-bed Level I Trauma Center with Magnet Designation and Comprehensive Stroke Center status. The surgical department operates 24/7 and handles approximately 60-75 cases per day across a wide range of specialties including cardiovascular, vascular, orthopedic, neurological, and transplant surgeries. The unit features 28 beds including 2 hybrid rooms for cardiovascular and vascular procedures, and is supported by a robust team including charge nurses, anesthesiologists, resource nurses, educators, and EPIC super-users.
