Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week (3 shifts per week)
• Contract length of 13 weeks
• Every 3rd weekend rotation with holidays as needed
• Possible float to Med/Surg unit
• May be placed on low census call; call back minimum is 2 hours
• 6-bed unit with an average daily census of 20 patients and a 1:3 patient ratio
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Associate Degree or Certificate required
• Required certifications: Current MI RN license, AHA or ARC BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS
• Charting and equipment experience required: Epic EMR, Pyxis medication management system, GE bedside cardiac monitors and telemetry, Alaris Infusion systems, Cisco and Responder 5 communication devices, Maxi Sky patient lifts, and LifePak
• Training provided on Epic EMR, Pyxis, GE monitors, and Alaris pumps
• Desired skills include aseptic practice, patient monitoring (EKG, invasive pressure, B/P, SaO2), post-anesthesia patient care, drug dose calculation and administration, management of tubes including endotracheal tubes and tracheostomies, mechanical ventilation management, and clinical competency in conscious sedation
• Deliver patient care utilizing an integrated knowledge base of interpersonal, physiological, and psychosocial frameworks with critical thinking skills
• Scrubs must be neat, clean, well-fitting, wrinkle-free, and conservative; employee identification tags must be worn at all times while on duty
• Contractors must live outside a 50-mile radius
