Opportunity:

RN - MedSurg

Job Details:

• 12-hour variable shifts
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• Occasional floating to other departments to assist with tasks such as vital checks (will not take patient load)
• May float to other locations including Merrill, Wausau, Stanley, and Langlade
• Travelers may be placed on call during low census hours with a maximum of 36 unbillable low census hours per contract
• If called back to facility, call back pay applies with a minimum of 2 hours
• 20-bed unit with typical census of 8-10 patients; ICU and Med Surg are a shared unit with 3 ICU beds
• Nurse to patient ratio ranges from 1:4-5 on Days/Evenings and 1:6-7 on Evenings/Nights
• Minimum 2+ years of experience required; ED or ICU experience very helpful
• Must be able to read telemetry strips
• Required certifications: WI or compact RN license, ARC or AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrubs must be clean and work appropriate; any color or style is acceptable
• Contractors must live outside a 50-mile radius

This is a 25-bed critical access hospital offering both Medical Surgical and ICU care within a shared unit environment. The facility provides a collaborative and supportive setting where nursing staff may assist across departments as needed. The organization is committed to high-quality patient care and maintains a manageable census that allows for meaningful patient-provider interactions.
