Opportunity:

Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapy

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend rotation
• No on-call responsibilities
• Holiday scheduling based on facility needs
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Treat full lifespan of patients including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric respiratory patients
• Perform technical procedures including trachs, nitrous oxide procedures, proning techniques, spontaneous breathing trials, and ABG draws
• Experience with ECMO and critical care required, including ventilator-associated pneumonia prevention experience
• Operate ventilators including PB840, PB980, Servo-U, and Hamilton models
• Work with CPAP/BiPAP equipment including V60s, ResMed, and RemStar units
• Use Optiflow and Hamilton transport vents
• Chart using EPIC system - experience is required
• Supervisor support available on the unit
• May float to hospitals within the PSA based on contract
• 1-day orientation on the unit
• Charcoal gray scrubs required
• Free parking available
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Active Illinois license required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS, NRP, and either RRT or CRT
• PALS, NRP, and active license must be in hand at time of submission

This facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center and Magnet-designated teaching hospital with 273 beds, offering a comprehensive range of advanced medical services. The facility features a Level II NICU and serves as a Primary Stroke Center, demonstrating its commitment to specialized and high-acuity patient care. The respiratory therapy department operates with a robust support structure and state-of-the-art equipment to ensure the highest standard of care across all patient populations.
