Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Evening and night shifts, 12-hour shifts with hours of 3:00 PM - 3:30 AM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Schedule includes weekends and holidays
• Patient ratio of 4:1 across days, nights, and weekends
• Float to UW University as required
• No on-call required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years required
• Travel experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Wisconsin RN or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (AHA only)
• Must pass a Telemetry test prior to start - adult and pediatric exams with a passing score of 80% or higher required
• Experience with a wide range of clinical skills required including triage, IV management, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, procedural sedation, and care of ventilated patients
• Must be comfortable treating patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Must be located more than 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted

This facility is one of the most advanced hospitals and wellness centers in the country, offering a holistic approach to healthcare that focuses on both treating illness and partnering with patients in overall health and wellness. The Emergency Department provides comprehensive emergency care to nearly 45,000 patients annually and serves as a critical entry point to the health system. The department is designated as a Level IV Trauma Center, an Acute Stroke Ready Center, and a recognized Pediatric Ready Emergency Department. It includes 40 exam rooms and 19 vertical care spaces, with the ability to flex an additional 20 exam rooms during high-volume periods. The department coordinates closely with ground ambulance services and Med Flight and also serves as the hospital's rapid response team throughout the entire facility.
