Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Evening/night shifts available with 12-hour and 8-hour shifts as needed
• Shift times: 3:00 PM - 3:30 AM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Float to UW at East Madison Hospital Emergency Department as needed
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years required
• Travel experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Epic electronic health record experience required
• Wisconsin RN or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS (AHA only), TNCC
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start with the following criteria met within two attempts:
   - Adult Exam: 100% identification of lethal rhythms (ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole), no incorrect answers on 3rd degree heart block questions, passing score of 80% or higher
   - Pediatric Exam: Identification of ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia, passing score of 80% or higher
• Travelers who fail the second attempt must submit a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course before a third attempt is assigned; assignment will be cancelled after three failed attempts
• Must be located more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted

Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries.
