Opportunity:

EEG Technologist - EEG

Job Details:

• Day shift, 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with some weekends required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience as a practicing clinical Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist required
• Experience at a Level 1 trauma and/or teaching or similar size facility required
• SEEG (stereo) and SPECT experience in an epilepsy monitoring unit within the last two years required
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), R.EEGT preferred but not required with qualifying experience
• Charting system experience required - Epic
• Perform diagnostic testing procedures including electroencephalograms (EEG), evoked potentials (EP), nerve conduction studies (NCS), long-term monitoring for epilepsy (LTM), and ICU/continuous EEG monitoring
• Work in a variety of settings including outpatient laboratory, emergency room, operating room, intensive care unit, special monitoring units, and at patient bedside
• Analyze data during recordings to ensure information obtained is valid and interpretable
• Obtain relevant patient history to guide test procedures; must be knowledgeable in clinical neurology
• Work with patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Skills required include adult ICU, adult inpatient, adult outpatient, ECI brain death, electrode placement, emergency department, Level 1 trauma, long-term monitoring/video monitoring, NICU, PICU, portable recording, seizure studies, and sleep deprived EEG
• Equipment used includes Natus Neuroworks XLTEK EEG equipment, Zeto quick read EEG, and MRI/CT conditional EEG leads
• Travelers are required to float as needed
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted
