Job Details:

• Night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM (18:30-07:00), 12-hour shifts
• Variable day shift options available: 6:30 AM-7:00 PM, 9:00 AM-9:30 PM, or 11:00 AM-11:30 PM
• Weekend rotation including holidays as required
• Unit will consider 4x12 schedules and up to 26-week assignments
• Travelers are required to float as needed
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years required
• Wisconsin RN or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS (AHA only), TNCC (preferred), NIHSS (preferred)
• Telemetry exam must be passed prior to start date, with a passing score of 80% or higher
• Telemetry exam covers adult and pediatric rhythms including lethal rhythm identification
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Skills required include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, general emergency department combined adult and pediatric care, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, IV vasopressors, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure, 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, and triage
• Barcode scanning compliance must be maintained at 95% or higher to be eligible for extension
• Bedside shift reporting, utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding are required
• Cares for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• 19-room emergency department with a daily census of approximately 70
• Level 1 traumas are transferred to appropriate facilities
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Free parking available on site

This medical center is a community-based healthcare facility offering emergency department services for patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics. The emergency department features 19 rooms and supports a daily census of approximately 70 patients, providing care for a wide range of diagnoses while coordinating with a robust interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
