Opportunity:
RN - Labor and Delivery
Job Details:
• Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience required; 4 years of experience most preferred
• Care for patients of all gestational ages including antepartum, labor and delivery, and mother-baby (no GYN surgeries)
• Patient ratios: 1:1 active labor, 1:2 laboring, 1:3-4 couplets
• Level 3 OB experience required; labor experience and ability to circulate C-sections preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, FHM
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) experience required
• Charting and equipment includes EPIC, Alaris, Pyxis, FHM monitors at nurse station and bedside, and telemetry
• Nurses are responsible for drawing labs
• Support includes a charge nurse (rarely takes patient load), 2 techs for the floor, OB available 24/7, anesthesia in-house, and lactation RN during day shift
• Weekend rotation: every other weekend
• Travelers float first to GYN/mother-baby overflow
• No on-call responsibilities
• Schedule provided at least 2 weeks before each 6-week cycle begins
• Time off requests of up to 7 days may be approved
• Scrub color: procedural
• Parking: free

This medical center is a comprehensive healthcare facility featuring 167 beds and a robust maternity program averaging approximately 120 births per month across 23 dedicated beds. The facility holds designations as a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Level III Maternity Center, and Primary Stroke Center, reflecting its commitment to providing high-acuity care across multiple specialties.
