Facility Details:
-Children's MN is now requiring the COVID-19 vaccine for employees and contingent workers.
-Facility workweek is different than Fastaff, please be sure RN is aware of this. Will work based off facility workweek but will be paid according to Fastaff workweek

Orientation:
-N95 fit testing required
-MN fingerprinting Required

Unit Details:

BLS Certification, PEARS or PALS Certification, Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider and CPHON certification
2 years nursing experience working with pediatric Hematology/Oncology patient population.
Royal blue scrub bottoms, kid friendly shirt or scrub top.

Responsibilities:

Assess pediatric patients before, during, and after chemotherapy/infusion treatments
Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and supportive medications safely
Monitor for side effects and adverse reactions; intervene promptly
Manage central lines (ports, PICCs) and maintain sterile technique
Provide pain, symptom, and supportive care (nausea, fatigue, etc.)
Educate patients and families about treatments, side effects, and home care
Offer emotional support to children and caregivers
Collaborate with oncologists and interdisciplinary teams
Document care, medication administration, and patient responses accurately within Cerner
