Description
Job Description
As a post-anesthesia care unit nurse (RN PACU-AMB), you will provide short-term care to patients immediately following surgery, from 30 minutes to several hours post-op. Patient observation is essential to your job, including regularly taking vitals, ensuring proper breathing, and administering oxygen or pain medication when necessary. You may also care for patients in the pre-op setting, managing their needs and preparing them for surgery. In this role, you must quickly respond to any change in a patient's condition, beginning CPR if necessary.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent acute care experience in specialty
- Active RN license
