Description

Job Summary
The organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) with specialization in Labor and Delivery (L&D) at a facility located in Augusta, Georgia. The RN will be responsible for providing high-risk Labor and Delivery nursing care, including performing newborn admission assessments and stabilization. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment. This position offers a day shift schedule, and flexibility to work varying days of the week is essential.

Job Details

  • Location: Augusta, Georgia
  • Shift: Day (07:00 AM - 07:30 PM)
  • Hours per Week: 36 hours
  • Start Date: 06/22/2026
  • Required Qualifications: All certifications are required upon hire including RN license (Single State license or RN-COMPACT multi-state license), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or equivalent, and Basic Life Support Instructor certification. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience in high-risk Labor and Delivery nursing or circulator experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience performing newborn admission assessment and stabilization as a newborn admitting nurse.
  • Additional Information: Minimum two major and two minor holidays. Candidates must be available to work varied days of the week and be on call as needed.
  • Responsibilities: Deliver care for high-risk patients in Labor and Delivery, perform newborn assessments and stabilization, and respond effectively to emergency situations using critical thinking and evidence-based practices.
  • Certifications: BLS Basic Life Support; ARC-BLS American Red Cross Basic Life Support; BLS-I Basic Life Support Instructor.
  • License: RN Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT Registered Nurse Multi-State Compact.
