Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position involves providing patient care on a med-surg/telemetry unit with a focus on adult and geriatric patients with common diagnoses such as COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CHF exacerbation, and others. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of orientation.

Job Details:

• Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts (either 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.), minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: North Carolina licensed RN with at least 2 years of Med/Surg/Telemetry RN experience (Resource Team); Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Support within the Department: CNAs perform vital signs, blood sugars, hygiene care; secretaries handle administrative duties; charge nurse and resource nurses provide additional support; 24/7 hospitalist coverage and telemetry monitoring staff are available
• Skills required: General Med/Surg/Telemetry skillset, stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management, PCA pumps, medication GTT management (including cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, IVF)
• Floats: Float rotation may be required within the region, covering all listed facilities as needed within scope of practice
• Orientation: 2 days departmental at NEO (North/East/West)
• Travel restrictions: No, first-time travelers considered but not preferred
• Additional notes: The unit fosters a family-like culture; travelers will work 75% of holidays
