Description
Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MedSurg/Telemetry) registered nurse opportunity in Charlotte, North Carolina. The position involves providing specialized nursing care to adult patients with various medical conditions, including renal, diabetic, behavioral health, and others within a 31-bed unit. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, with weekend rotations every other week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); Education: RN degree; Experience: 18 months of Medical Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience; Location: North Carolina; Must have a current license.
- Preferred Qualifications: Stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and proficiency in trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, Flexiseals, Foley insertion/management, etc.), PCA pumps, and medication infusion management.
- Additional Information: Will be required to float within scope at multiple units and facilities as needed. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. If floating mid-shift, the traveler will be paid for travel time between facilities. Scrub color is navy, and parking is free.
