Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery in West Burlington, Iowa. This position involves delivering high-quality care to adolescent and adult female patients, neonates, and managing a variety of obstetric and neonatal responsibilities within a Level 2 Nursery and LDRP unit. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of orientation.
Job Details:
- Location: West Burlington, Iowa
- Specialty: Labor and Delivery Department
- Schedule: Night shifts; 12 hours per shift; minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Fetal Monitoring certification (Basic and Intermediate); experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; STABLE (preferred but not required)
- Preferred Qualifications: Epic EMR experience; STABLE certification (not required but preferred)
- Additional Information: The unit is a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Post-Partum (LDRP) Level 2 Nursery with 12 LDRP Rooms, 3 triage beds, 16 nursery beds, and 3 NICU beds. Nurses function across multiple capacities including labor, delivery, recovery, post-partum, nursery, and NICU. The team includes four midwives and four OB/GYNs. Occasionally, staff may be involved in neonatal care or assist in pediatric departments during low census periods.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
