Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Shelby, North Carolina. This role involves providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population, including those with cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and other medical conditions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid RN license with at least 18 months of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse experience. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Schedule: Nights shift with 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. Every other weekend rotation. No call required. Schedule cycle every 6 weeks.
• Required Qualifications: Experience with tracheostomy care, cardiac administration (gtts), cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood products, wound care/dressing changes, and management of central lines.
• Additional Information: Patient ratios typically 1:4, possibly 1:5 depending on acuity. Support from CNA staff, receptionists/HUCs, charge nurses, and 24/7 onsite support including RT, Hospitalist, and Intensivist. Technology includes EPIC Electronic Medical Record system, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Phillips monitors. Floating within region and scope of practice to facilities in Cleveland, Kings Mountain, Lincoln, and Central Division. Within scope of practice, floating to all listed facilities as needed. Orientation includes 2 days departmental on NEO unit. RTO approval up to 6 days, excluding holidays. Scrub color is navy, parking is free. Family-oriented unit culture. Travelers will work 75% of holidays.
