Description

Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position available in the healthcare organization. This full-time role involves providing specialized patient care within the ICU setting, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in accordance with the organization's standards of practice. The position requires working night shifts, with a focus on delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care to critically ill patients.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Current New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license or current Compact state license.
    • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) via the American Heart Association (AHA).
    • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
    • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in intensive care or similar environment.
    • Knowledge of age-appropriate patient care and effective communication skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
  • Additional Information:
    • The nurse will obtain and record initial assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and make clinical decisions based on patient outcomes.
    • Responsibilities include patient education, discharge planning, performing point-of-care testing, and collaborating with the healthcare team.
    • The role involves delegating and coordinating team activities, participating in staff orientation, and contributing to unit growth and performance improvement initiatives.
    • Demonstrates professionalism, effective communication, and a positive attitude to foster a supportive work environment.
