Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in Hilo, Hawaii. This critical care role involves providing specialized patient care within the ICU environment, following a flexible rotating shift schedule. Candidates are required to bring their Hawaii state license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Hilo, Hawaii
  • Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, including 3 twelve-hour shifts (36 hours) per week following a one-week orientation up to 40 hours, and 2 twelve-hour call shifts per 4-week roster period.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Hawaii license; BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIH Stroke Scale Certification (submit certification or complete a 45-minute online class as part of orientation); minimum of 3 years ICU experience; PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred.
  • Additional Information: Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday; flexible scheduling required to accommodate day or night shifts based on staffing needs.
  • Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Position Urgency: Normal.
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates must be prepared to start on the scheduled date and arrive on time for orientation.
