Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking a qualified Progressive Care Nurse to work in the Progressive Care Unit located in Great Falls, Montana. This role involves providing specialized care to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients on a medical/surgical unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers an opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

- Required Qualifications: Current State of Montana Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire. Experience in post heart catheterization and post-surgical revascularization preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: EPNC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred but not required. Pediatric experience preferred.
- Additional Information: Knowledge and skills needed include basic office equipment use, operation of multiple IV pumps, advanced medical equipment such as A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes, and ventilatory support devices, as well as basic cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation. The nurse will manage common IV medications including Heparin, Diltiazem, Dobutamine, Lasix, Amiodarone, and Dopamine. The role involves providing direct patient care from admission to discharge, discharge planning, and supervising other staff members. Acts as a clinical leader and assists with staff precepting.
