Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse position is located in a healthcare facility specializing in maternity care. This role involves providing direct clinical care to patients in the labor and delivery unit, ensuring safe and effective nursing practices during night shifts. The position emphasizes supervision of clinical staff, adherence to high standards of patient care, and supporting operational excellence.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Nursing license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, minimum of 1 year of experience in labor and delivery, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, California nursing license, and ability to work night shifts.
• Onboarding involves completing the I-9 verification at HR, located at the facility's front lobby. Candidates must check in with security, then be guided to HR for orientation.
• The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care for assigned patients, supervise staff delegated to patient care, and support the facility's Chief Nursing Officer in maintaining high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional certifications such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) are preferred.
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced maternity unit is advantageous.

Additional Information:
This role requires adherence to hospital protocols and standards, including SOPs related to labor and delivery care. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.
