Job Summary:
The geographic location is Fullerton, California. This position is for a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) Registered Nurse (RN) working in an acute care hospital environment. The role involves providing specialized nursing care in the cardiac catheterization lab, supporting a variety of interventional and diagnostic procedures. Candidates are required to bring their California licensed registered nurse license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift with a 10-hour shift time.
• Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse license in hand, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, minimum of 1.5 years of hard stop experience in a cardiac catheterization lab environment, and at least 2 years of experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with activated clotting time (ACT), angioplasty, arrhythmia induction, ASD closures, assist with central line insertion/management, baseline measurements, cardiac ablation, cardiac implant closure device, cardiac mapping, cardiac stent placement, carotid angiography, cerebral angiography, conduction studies, electrophysiology (EP) lab experience, emergency medications administration, end-tidal carbon dioxide (CO2) monitoring, hybrid operating room procedures, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) placement/removal, Impella insertion, implantable cardioverter defibrillator (AICD) programming, dysrhythmia management, interventional radiology procedures, left atrial appendage (LAA) closure, left heart catheterization, procedural sedation, pacemaker insertion, lead extraction/removal, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), pulmonary artery line/Swan-Ganz monitoring, right heart catheterization, rotablator atherectomy, scrub procedures, IV insertion, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), valvuloplasty, ventricular assist device insertion.
• Additional Information: Candidates must commit to working three of the five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day). The position requires working on-call for two nights per week and one weekend every two weeks. The role involves working in an Interventional Cardiac Cath lab with a daily census of 4 beds.
