Job Summary:
The operating room nurse position is based in Aiken, South Carolina. This role involves scrubbing and circulating duties for operative procedures within the operating room environment. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day. The position offers a schedule of dayshift hours from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Job Details:
- Location: Aiken, South Carolina
- Schedule: Dayshift, 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina; at least 2 years of experience in the operating room with various specialties; graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; BSN degree is highly desired.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the operating room setting with various specialties
- Additional Information: Must live at least 100 miles away from the facility; on-call responsibilities include one weekend per month and one call day during the week. The nurse will be responsible for preparing the operating room, assembling equipment and supplies, ensuring functionality, and adhering to aseptic techniques. The role requires effective communication with team members, patients, families, and surgical staff.
