Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Emergency Room (ER) located in Baltimore, Maryland. The position involves working in a Level 1 trauma center with responsibilities in adult emergency care, including triage and rapid assessment. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day. The role demands critical thinking, public health knowledge, and patient teaching skills to effectively serve in a fast-paced, highly varied environment.
Job Details:
- Location: Baltimore, Maryland
- Required Qualifications: RN License; 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience at a Level 1 trauma center or academic hospital; BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications; Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience; 1 year of travel experience; minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, beginning June 1, 2026, with minimum 36 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: ATCN (Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses) or TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certifications are preferred.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Candidates who have previously worked in any capacity for any Johns Hopkins facilities (staff, PRN, travel) must have the rehire status checked and be gone at least one full year before applying as a traveler.
