Job Summary:
An ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse (RN) is sought for a position in Utica, New York. This role involves providing specialized critical care to patients with complex health conditions. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day. The position requires experience in ICU settings and familiarity with advanced equipment.
Job Details:
- Location: Utica, New York
- Shift: Days, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications including Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license; minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Surgical ICU (SICU), Cardiothoracic ICU (CTICU), Trauma ICU, Medical ICU (MS ICU), or Neuro ICU; travel experience documented; current AHA certifications; EMR experience with EPIC; ability to provide two recent ICU Charge or Manager RN references; valid drivers licenses with matching address.
- Preferred Qualifications: Heart experience (highly preferred), experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) and Prismaflex; experience with specialized ICU equipment such as IABP, ICP monitoring, Ventriculostomy, and Therapeutic Hypothermia Management (TTM with Artic Sun).
- Additional Information: Floating to all units except Behavioral and Emergency Room (unless holding) may be required. Common patient diagnoses include strokes, sepsis, altered mental status, neuro interventions, respiratory failure, congestive heart failure, post-ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), cardiogenic shock, AAA surgeries, trauma, and major postoperative surgeries.
