Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Lewiston, Maine. This full-time position requires providing specialized care in a level 2 trauma center Emergency Department with a focus on pediatrics through geriatrics. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.

• Location: Lewiston, Maine

• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BCLS/BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), NIH (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course); 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting; valid license to practice in Maine; candidates with no prior experience will not be considered
• Preferred Qualifications: CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification is preferred
• Float: Travelers are required to float to Emergency Department holding areas
• Additional Information: Level II trauma center with 4 critical care bays, tele-neurology services for stroke in cooperation with a major hospital, no Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), equipment includes ultrasound, bladder scanner, neuro telemedicine computers, Care Aware handheld devices; patient population ranges from pediatrics to geriatrics; unit utilizes Omnicell, Cerner First Net, and SBAR electronic health records
