Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a registered nurse (RN) specializing in the cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) in Lewiston, Maine. This position involves providing specialized care to adult and geriatric patients within an intermediate and critical care setting. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Impella, Balloon Pump, ECMO/Tandem Heart, and ceiling lifts; familiarity with Epic electronic health record system; experience managing adult and geriatric patient populations including post-op cardiac and vascular surgery, ECMO support, and multi-system failure cases
Additional Information: Must be flexible to float where needed, potentially including ICU, Medical-Surgical (MS), Telemetry (Tele), and Emergency Room (ER) units; no local candidates; shift starts at 18:45 and ends at 07:15, with weekly guaranteed hours of 36; unit has 20 beds with a patient ratio of 1:3 for intermediate care and 1:2 or 1:1 for critical care depending on acuity; uses extensive safe-patient handling equipment including Impella, balloon pump, and ECMO/Tandem Heart
