Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) registered nurse position available in Burlington, Vermont. This role involves providing specialized perioperative care for cardiac and open heart surgeries in a large academic hospital setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The assignment is for 13-16 weeks with an immediate start.
Job Details:
- Location: Burlington, Vermont
- Schedule: Rotating Day/Evening shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- CNOR (Neonatal Intensive Care Certification in Perioperative Nursing) preferred
- Must have general experience in operating room nursing
- Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience from within the past 2 years is required and nonnegotiable
- A minimum of 2 years of operating room registered nurse experience with recent experience and high competency in cardiovascular/open heart procedures
- Prior travel experience is required
- Large (500+ beds), academic, teaching hospital experience required
- Must have Epic EMR experience in the past 2 years
- Additional Information:
- Must be flexible with schedule to meet the needs of the unit and patient care
- May be required to float to other operating room suites (general, orthopedics, neuro, ENT, etc.); circulating role only, not scrub
- Bi-weekly orientation sessions on Mondays; next available orientation on 07/13
- Must explain any employment gaps over 90 days
- All work history details (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) must be complete for submission
- Ability to work Monday through Sunday, with no block schedules
- Experience within the past 2 years in a large, academic hospital setting is mandatory
