Description
Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) registered nurse (RN) position available in Towson, Maryland. This role involves providing specialized care to pediatric patients within a general medical-surgical pediatric unit, managing a variety of complex diagnoses and procedures. Candidates are required to bring their active Maryland or Compact RN license on the first day of work.
Job Details:
- Location: Towson, Maryland
- Schedule: Nights, 3x12 hour shifts (19:0007:30) with every third weekend work and scheduled holidays as they fall.
- Required Qualifications: Active Maryland or Compact RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; experience with patient ratio of 1:3; EPIC electronic health record (EHR) experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, community hospital experience, Level I or Level II trauma experience, travel experience.
- Additional Information: Weekend requirements include every third Saturday and Sunday, with some Friday night shifts. The unit manages pediatric patients ranging from neonates to adolescents, with daily census averaging four patients. The unit also care for neonates in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, with hospitalist and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NP) coverage 24/7.
