Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Des Moines, Iowa. This position involves caring for patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum, with a focus on high-risk obstetric cases. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Certifications: BLS Basic Life Support, ACLS Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, NRP Neonatal Resuscitation Program, AWHONN Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses certificate are required.
- Education: Active Iowa or Iowa Compact/Multistate nursing license required.
- Experience: Recent/current Labor Delivery experience required; high-risk obstetric experience in a level I trauma facility required; antepartum, C-section, and vaginal delivery experience required; at least one previous travel assignment within the last 12 months required.
- Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have skills specific to Labor Delivery and intermediate or advanced Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) / AWHONN certification. There is a requirement for working during upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).
