Description
Job Summary:
Licensed Practical Nurse (L&D) Nurse located in FARMINGTON, Connecticut. This position involves providing specialized care in Labor and Delivery, Antepartum, and Mother/Baby units. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in Labor and Delivery (L&D) high risk. Certifications required include NRP, ACLS, and BLS. Prior OB experience and prior travel experience are mandatory.
- Schedule: 8-hour night shifts from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The unit includes 12 postpartum rooms, 4 swing/antepartum rooms, 5 labor rooms, 4 triage rooms, and 2 operating rooms. Fetal monitoring certification is preferred but not required. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:3 on Labor and Delivery and Antepartum, and 1:6 for mother/baby couplets. The facility provides scrubs. EMR system used is Epic; Med System is Pysis. The role requires call rotation, including every other weekend on Friday and Saturday, with a 4-hour mandation block if needed. Mandatory overtime may be required during the assignment.
