Job Summary:
A Clinical Educator position is available in the Progressive Care Unit located in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves delivering clinical education to nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members, supporting staff development, and ensuring competency validation. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Location: Asheville, North Carolina
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: No minimum years of experience required; candidates should possess acute care or critical care experience, procedural skills, and relevant nursing education or clinical teaching background.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Strong communication, coaching, and teaching skills; ability to work independently; support flexible scheduling including days, nights, and weekends; experience with education tracking tools, dashboards, Learning Management System (LMS) platforms, or competency checklists; familiarity with high-risk education, regulatory readiness, quality and safety initiatives, or survey response work.
  • Additional Information: This role supports education for core staff, travelers, contract labor, and interdisciplinary team members through unit-based rounding, reinforcement, and just-in-time coaching. The Clinical Educator will partner with educators and leaders to validate understanding and competency, document education completion, support night shift, weekend, and hard-to-reach colleague education, and assist with focused re-education when needed.
