Job Summary:
Psychiatric Unit Registered Nurse located in Belle Mead, New Jersey. This inpatient behavioral health position requires candidates to possess a valid nursing license and bring it on the first day. The role involves providing comprehensive mental health care to adolescent, adult, and older adult patients within a hospital environment. The nurse will collaborate with the treatment team, administer medications, and support patient safety and recovery throughout the shift.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, 3 x 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required, with no holiday or on-call requirements.
• Required Qualifications: Current New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, inpatient behavioral health experience, and minimum of 0 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Three or more years of inpatient behavioral health experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Demonstrates computer literacy for all required systems, effective communication skills with multidisciplinary teams, cultural competence, and the ability to interpret multiple patient needs based on age, culture, and disability. The RN will assess patient needs, develop and revise care plans, administer medications, and participate in therapeutic groups and quality improvement activities.
