Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) at an Austin, Texas healthcare facility. This position involves providing patient care on a Medical Surgical floor with a focus on epilepsy care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The shift is scheduled overnight, and the position is available for a minimum of 36 hours per week for an initial 13-week contract.
Job Details:
- Location: Austin, Texas
- Position: CONTRACT - RN - MED SURG 3E (613) Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor
- Schedule: Nights shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; hospital nursing experience; 3 or more years of nursing experience; experience with epilepsy care
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Meditech Electronic Medical Record (EMR); familiarity with Video EEG, Hoyer Lift, Bladder Scanner, Vital Sign Machine, Telemetry equipment
- Additional Information: No routine procedures are performed on the unit. Best personality fit includes being open to feedback and owner mentality designates a proactive, accountable approach to patient care. Dress code is navy blue scrubs with the facility's logo.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Unit Profile Summary: The unit comprises 28 beds with a total staff of 32 FTEs, including charge nurses, RNs, and PCTs. Patient ratios range from 5:1 to 6:1. Equipment includes Video EEG, Hoyer Lift, Bladder Scanner, Vital Sign Machine, and Telemetry.
